Der Multimessenger Pidgin, vormals Gaim, wurde jetzt in der Version 2.4.0 veröffentlicht. Mit Pidgin ist es möglich mit fast allen bekannten Messenger-Protokollen zu kommunizieren, unter anderem: AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, IRC, Jabber, Gadu-Gadu und Zephyr.
Das Programm steht unter der GPL, es wird also unentgeltlich zur Verfügung gestellt und der Quellcode ist offen einsehbar.
